BACK TO BACK STATE CHAMPS AGAIN!!

A and his girlfriend, after the game.....

This is the sign the cheerleaders held up, usually the players run through them, but this one they walked around

A is 54.......

We decorated the truck for the 2 1/2 hour trip down to Waycross.

Me, K (A's girlfriend) and L getting ready to go.

Check out the website for the HS football team! We won against Ware Country Friday night, what a game, another nail biter but great ball!!

When you 96 everywhere it is because it was a team mate, Chris Johnson, a junior that passed away over the summer. It is all really sad, the team misses him a lot.

A will get a state champ ring, of course not as big as the starters but he will get one. He is ready to be on the varsity as second string and be a starter for JV. A gets two weeks off for Christmas break and then back to practice, everyday....like a religion down here but we enjoy it! The coach is talking about a linebacker position next year....he is excited. Enjoy the pics.

Eagles at "THE DOME"

The Eagles made it to the Dome, we played Tucker HS from Atlanta last Friday night at the Georgia Dome (Falcons field). We were down in the first half but came back in the second half when they put in our starting QB, he was out with a broken ankle. WE WON....moving on to play the championship game on 14 Dec in Waycross, GA.

Christmas Parade 07

The WR Christmas parade was the beginning of December, we go every year. R was TDY so it was A, L and me. It was pretty mild out, just a sweatshirt which makes it hard to get in the mood for the holidays, but it was fun. Hope all is well with everyone and you all get what you want from Santa.

GOING TO THE DOME!!!!http://www.northsidefootball.com/
The NHS football team won...again...last Friday night...30 - 0!! We are off to the GA Dome in Atlanta on Friday after lunch!! A gets to be down on the side lines...don't think he will play but they definiteyly have those few 9th graders ready for next year...he is excited...he knows not too many 15 yr olds get to be down on the field! Will let you know how it goes!! GO EAGLES!!

40!!!

Well....it finally happened I turned 40 on Saturday after Thanksgiving. My sisters and R threw me a party and invited a lot of my friends. M made a huge pot of chili and we had plenty of beer...of course there were PLENTY of margaritas flowing too!!! It was nice having some of my friends over but there were a few missing...wish they could have been here....you know who you are :)! Enough of that...miss you all!

Thanksgiving

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving holiday...we did. My sisters and their families came to GA for the long weekend. We all ate too much but had such a good time, S and I did our annually black Friday shopping we enjoy only getting 3 hours of sleep before heading out into the cold early morning air :). I wouldn't miss it for the world. We hated to see them leave, but Christmas is right around the corner.

Art and Crafts

What a nice weekend, the weather was beautiful here and we got an extra hour of sleep :). Saturday we picked pecans and made sugar coated and candy coated, the ones they sell at the festivals. It was R mothers birthday so we grilled out and had cake.

Sunday L and I headed to the "Christmas Made in the South" show. It was nice, we picked up a few things for Christmas and of course for ourselves.

We put away all of the Halloween decorations and pulled out the Thanksgiving. All of the family will be coming to GA for Thanksgiving this year so we are excited and getting ready for that.

Varsity

9th grade FB is over....the coach moved A up to Varsity, they had their first game Friday night, even though he didn't play he was still dressed and on the side line, he was very excited. It was a sell out crowd and a very good game, we won!! Playoffs start this week so keep your fingers crossed for another year of NO LOSSES!!

Coming out on the field

A first game with the Varsity

Game over, we win

This was the first year the kids didn't go Trick or Treating. L got half dressed and decided to stay and pass out candy with us. A had FB and wrestling practice so he didn't get home until 7:30 and was too tired. He did bring two friends and they "chilled". We set up a table out front with candles, music, fog, accident scene..had margaritas and enjoyed scaring the kids that came to our house. This year is a little different than last year when the president came to town just about 200 yards away from our house. The kids are growing up faster than I want, isn't there anything I can do???? HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
GIANTS GAME

View from the hotel

GO GIANTS

The NY Giants played the Atlanta Falcons on 15 Oct, Monday night football. We headed up on Monday at noon stayed downtown Atlanta and went to the game that night. A played some of the challenges they had outside and won a few sport towels and stuff. L wore her Giants jersey, which we thought was pretty risky but once we got to the game there were more NY fans than GA fans. The Giants won so we were happy!! We had a birds eye view from our hotel room, it was nice, stayed on the 39th floor, one of the walls was glass. We stopped for lunch at the Underground and then made our way back to WR. This is a picture of A and L at Olympia Park.

FB

A is still playing FB not many games left, that is his hands on the ball in the picture. The kids are out of school this week but we couldn't make plans for a short trip anywhere because he can't miss FB practice. But that is ok, we enjoy it as much as he does. We are headed to the Giants vs Falcons game next week, we got R the tickets for his birthday a couple of months ago.

B-Day

WELL, A turned 15 last Friday!!! Man am I getting old. He had a party, a cook-out the boys even got the girls to play a game of football, R played too, all had a good time.

My sisters came up with the baby which was wonderful, L and I were in heaven having a baby around. I would post a picture of L but she does not like me to take it....I will catch her off guard.

R built us a fire pit in the backyard but we haven't had a chance to use it yet, it is still pretty hot here. It is suppose to cool off sometime this week. I am ready for some Fall weather.

Y

Just thought I would add Y picture to our site....he is still a good dog!! He loves our new home as much as we do. He has more freedom here, our backyard is fenced.

True Georgians

Well, I think we have become true "Georgians" we have planted a Magnolia tree in our back yard. If you have ever been through GA you know they are everywhere and when they bloom they are beautiful. I am not sure how long it will be before that happens because it is still a baby.

An update on my sister, she is doing wonderful. Her doctor visits have been changed from once a week to once every three months! She starts back to work part-time this week. What a miracle this whole ordeal has been, it brings everything into perspective and makes you re prioritize things in your life. The baby is doing great too! We are headed down to do the American Heart Walk in support of her. This one is only 3 miles compared to the 7 mile for Premature babies we did in May.

I finally got a new camera so expect more pictures soon.

Football

Just wanted to add a picture, A is playing football (center) for his favorite school. HS football is different than MS and the players are much bigger. Of course he is almost 6 foot, thanks to my side of the family, so not many are taller.

One

Okay, I am going to try this....it may be a little difficult keeping it up but I am willing to try.
R and A have headed off to a preseason Falcons game so while I do this L is on the laptop chatting with her friends.

We finally settled down and bought our first home. Cleaning house and yard work has never been so much fun! Hope we don't get that three year itch to move.

We had a great summer and the kids have started back to school. It is nice to be on a schedule again.
A started high school and L started 7th grade. R is still active but is ready for retirement and me I am still working civil service.
